Frames
These machines, featuring a very rigid four columns frame, have been designed for the testing of the cement prism either in compression or in flexure.
Three versions are available:
65-L27C0x, L27C1x
models, double testing chamber, 15/300 kN cap., inbuilt flexural jig for 40x40x160 cement prisms and compression apparatus for portions of 40x40x160 mm prisms broken in flexure.
Conforming to EN 196-1, 1015-11.

65-L28C0x, L28C1x
models, double testing chamber, 15/300 kN cap., fitted with round platens for testing in compression and flexion cement, mortar, resins and other materials.
Conforming to EN 196-1, 1015-11, ASTM C109, C348, C349 using the suitable accessories.

65-L18C0x, L18C1x
models, 300 kN cap., fitted with round platens for testing cement, mortar, resins and other materials and other materials. Conforming to EN 196-1, 1015-11, ASTM C109, C349 using the suitable accessories.

All models can be fitted with pressure transducer/s for load measurement (65-L27C0x, 65-L28C0x, 65-L18C0x) or with high accuracy load cell/s (65-L27C1x, 65-L28C1x, 65-L18C1x).

Models fitted with compression platens 165 mm dia. (L28Cxx,L18Cxx) have a vertical span of 200 mm hence can house all standard accessories for cement and mortar testing (see accessories) and furthermore can be used to test other specimens directly on the standard compression platens adjusting, if necessary, the vertical daylight, with the suitable distance pieces (see accessories). Compression platens can be supplied complete with Platen surface hardness certificate. See upgrading options.

Automatic setting time tester for cement, mortar and gypsum

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

CONTROLS have long tradition in manufacturing automatic setting time testers for cement and mortar. A new generation, the third one, is now available. The new machine has been completely redesigned based on the innovative CVI-TECH philosophy. As with the older generations the test procedure is unchanged, a needle (or a probe) drops freely into a cement sample at regular intervals and in fixed positions. Penetration depth is measured by a sensor with 0,1 mm resolution. Along with hardening process development the penetration depth decreases, when it matches some thresholds pre-defined by Standards initial and final setting times are measured and recorded.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Vicat frame consists essentially of a metal stand with a sliding rod. An adjustable indicator moves over a graduated scale. The needle or plunger is attached to the bottom end of the rod to make up the test weight of 300 g.
The frame 63-L0028/1 is supplied without accessories, which have to be ordered separately depending on the requirement. It is also proposed with basic EN accessories (63-L028) or ASTM/AASHTO accessories (63-L0028/A).

Servo-hydraulic system for static and low frequency dynamic tests on building materials under control of Load/Stress, Displacement Strain.

Ideal both for traditional tests, such as compression and flexure on concrete, cement, mortar, blocks etc. and cyclic tests for the determination of secant elastic modulus (E) according to all relevant international standard, and also for measuring, for example, the ductility and fracture energy of concrete reinforced with fibres (FRC) and lined with polymers (FRP), or the toughness of sprayed concrete slabs (shotcrete) under concentrated load tests. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

UNIFLEX 300 flexural frame has been designed to satisfy the stringent requirements prescribed by the standards concerning, above all, the determination of deformability and ductility index of sprayed concrete and fiber reinforced concrete. The “C” shaped open structure allows an easy and practical front loading but, once the specimen is in the loading position, the structure is closed by a vertical rod hydraulically clamped and controlled to compensate frame deformation during the test thus ensuring high rigidity.

Fitted with high precision strain gauge load cell for accurate and reliable test results. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The rebound number determined by this method can be used to assess the uniformity of concrete in situ, to delineate zones or areas of poor quality or deteriorated concrete in structures.

This NDT test method is not intended as an alternative for the compressive strength determination of concrete, but with suitable correlations already saved in the instrument, it provides an estimate of the in situ compressive strength.
The hammer may be used for comparative testing, referenced against a concrete with known strength or against a concrete verified as conforming to a particular strength class.

The rebound hammers measure the rebound of an anvil impacting a plunger in contact with the concrete surface.
With this advanced instrument the rebound value is calculated with an innovative technology taking into account the anvil speed before and after the impact.

This new working principle is equivalent to the traditional measurement of maximum spring length after the impact, but it provides the following benefits:

– higher accuracy and stability of the readings not affected by wear and tear
– setting of the impact angle no longer required
– a check of the device reliability can be performed during each impact, even without the calibration anvil.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Introduction

The 58-E4800 UPV tester is used for quality control and inspection of concrete. It measures the transit time of ultrasonic pulses through concrete for inspection of new and old structures, slabs, columns, walls, fire damaged areas, precast and prestressed beams, cylinders and other concrete forms.
Combined with an oscilloscope can identify honey combs, voids, cracks and other non homogeneous conditions in concrete.

Description

Hand held light instrument, battery operated, microprocessor incorporated, supplied complete with two 54 kHz transducers (transmitter and receiver), calibration rod, 250 mm of coupling agent, instruction manual and carrying case. The meter can also be used with low and high frequency transducers. See accessories.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The cross-hole method is a way to analyze the foundation piles of buildings, which, with the use of cross-hole ultrasonic pulses, allows accurate, high-resolution tests to be carried out. An ultrasonic wave is sent from a transmitter to a receiver and is conveyed automatically by the device along the entire length of the pile via the pipes embedded into it during casting. The speed of the sonic wave and its energy are strongly influenced by the quality of the concrete and it is therefore possible to assess the characteristics and give a tomographic representation in 2D and 3D called diagraphy.

The instrument is a complete system for performing structural tests by ultrasound on piles, deep foundations, infrastructural works or buildings. Each reel system has a 52 kHz motorized probe with 60 m of cable and also houses the battery plus all the electronic controls that automatically manage the probes during the descent / ascent phases (cross-hole) and saving of the test data.

The configuration practically eliminates the need for physical cables and is supplied with a 10.4″ Panasonic Rugged tablet which allows the setting of all parameters, test management, and display / processing of the acquired test data in an easy, immediate and wireless way.

The system can directly manage up to 4 motorized coil systems from one tablet. Using 2, 3 or 4 motorized reels it is possible to increase the survey productivity and reduce testing time: with a single ascent / descent of the probes in the pile to be checked (which must have 2, 3 or 4 integral pipes) it is possible to obtain results for the corresponding sections.
The data are acquired at each pulse and displayed in real time on the tablet screen allowing any imperfections in the structure being inspected to be seen immediately.

The procedure for running cross-hole surveys with 2, 3 or 4 channels is managed in a fully automated way. The only manual operations required are the positioning of the encoders for reading the position of the motorized probes on the pipes and the initial alignment of the probes on the pile head.
The test is started by simply pressing a button and it is possible to verify the test data step-by-step in order to check the test progress in real time.
